FAQ's

Because we take on a diverse range of recruits, from raw graduates to those with sales/commercial/recruitment experience, we find that our training needs to be tailored to suit each individual.
Our training programme begins with a two day induction, which is an introduction to BMS, our history, our clients, our employees, and the basic skills you will need to be successful in your career here.
From there, you will join your team, who will provide much of the day-to-day support and advice in your first few weeks settling into the company. After the first 2-4 weeks of being with BMS, we will introduce a gradual process of one-on-one reviews with your Divisional Manager, which have been designed to pinpoint and develop strengths as well as providing extra training and support to improve the weaknesses. The various training strategies are carefully planned to maximise the potential of any one individual, no matter what experience or background they have come from. We believe that our employees are only as good as the training they receive.

How many people will I be working with?

Our teams are structured in a unique way, and you can expect to be working alongside 5 - 8 people, who vary from new employees through to experienced consultants and divisional managers, who will contribute to your training.

Career opportunities within BMS are vast and diverse. We have grown organically to be a nationwide group operating in different sectors, and our figures reflect this; 95% of Divisional Managers within BMS started in our Client Development role. We ideally look for people to be living within a 30 minute commute of their nearest office, no matter what region they are living in. If you are unsure, or looking to relocate in the near future, please contact us.

Once you have applied you should receive a response within two weeks of making the application, if successful.
The process then follows an informal telephone interview, after which you can expect up to three formal face-to-face interviews (dependant on the role and office applied for).
Unfortunately, we are unable to respond to all applications made, due to the high volume we receive. Therefore, if you do not hear from us within two weeks, you will have been unsuccessful.

The recruitment we do at BMS is ongoing, due to our continued expansion and growth.  If you are unsure whether the right opportunities exist for you, go to our current vacancies page. Alternatively, contact us for a chat.

As the opportunities at BMS all focus on building a solid career within the BMS group, we will only look at those with a valid UK work permit, who will be staying in the UK for two years or more.

Unfortunately, we do not offer temporary opportunities for those taking a gap year, or looking to work in a summer placement.
